  Sometimes when you feel like you have nothing left to live for, something happens that renews your will to live. That is what happened to Gary, a young man living on his own, isolated from the rest of the island. After a seemingly endless line of rock bottoms, something happens that gives him a purpose.
  
  I've been working on this story for three, maybe four years now. I really hope to get it published some day, so I'd appreciate some feedback telling me what's good and what's not-so-good; I want to make it the best it can be. Please tell me what you like and don't like!All Rights Reserved

This book has heavy mentions of abuse, manipulation, and suicide. If any of these subjects triggers you, please don't continue to read, this is for your own mental health. I think of the story like this: This isn't the story of a hero slaying a dragon and rescuing the princess. Nor is this a story about a hero who triumphs over evil and rescues the maiden in peril. This is the story of a man, who fights as much with himself, as he does the world around him. He is no hero, he is simply a man, trying to make the best he can of himself, and fix what he broke. He is both the protagonist, and antagonist of this story, because he does as much harm to himself as he does good.

This is a story written during the COVID lockdown. It's a world I created to escape to. I wanted to immortalize what I felt during that period of my life. There is struggle, regret, and the eventual recovery phase. Glenn is a boy with a deeply troubled past. His parents left him at an early age and he finds that even his foster home cannot provide him with the familial warmth that he desires. Thus, he isolates himself and eventually finds that he's alone again. He attends a high school in a not-so popular town in Canada and is presented with a problem when the class is scheduled to a town he is familiar with but had to leave because of a startling experience in the past. He meets a cast of characters on the way who slowly help him realize that isolation isn't the only answer in his mysterious little world.
