On a mission to retrieve a file from an enemy planet, Kirk is imprisoned. While captured, Kirk realizes that not only is the planet not an ordinary planet, but they have a vendetta to destroy Star Fleet using him as their pawn along with all the other captured Star Fleet captains. That includes Kirk's father, who is still alive after all these years.

Kirk and the away team beam down, yet there is no sign of life, only a barren planet, which terrifies Kirk. Back on the Enterprise Kirk's brain scans reveal that he is going insane, but before the information reaches the landing party, Kirk vanishes leaving no clues behind.Complete

Krall insists that Captain Kirk returns the stolen device that Kirk had taken to restore peace with another race, but Kirk thinks otherwise. He still needed it. Krall takes the whole crew, leaving Kirk, Krystine, Spock, Bones, Chekov, and Scotty stranded and needing to find them and figure out how to get off the planet. Will the six of them be able to do it?
