A prison built into the future where the planet has been dead for thousands of years, an undercover cop is made by the gang he infiltrated, scientists who try to build the ultimate spaceship in order to save humanity, all of these and more to come are part of this short story collection. 

I bit off a lot when I tackled Art of Destruction and recently started the sequel "The Spire" and am having a hard time. So, instead of setting down my pen and paper and giving up, I've decided to try something new; short stories. I'm not going to be pounding these out by any means but it's helped me stay in writing without giving me block. 
  
Some short stories will last more than one chapter others may only be one shots.

Outbreak! Virus 'M' by lord-of-the-pancake

Here we are again with the crew! Back with the Ringleader, the Archer, the Samurai, the Batter, and the Kid! In an alternate universe where instead of zombies plaguing the world, it's mutants. However, they have different names now. The Ringleader - The Bearer The Samurai - The Guardian The Archer - The Improviser The Batter - The Runner The Kid - The Medic Mutants are creatures that look human but have one distinct characteristic that proves their true from. It's their eyes. Look into an abyss of blues with rows of symbols circling around the pupil to know the truth. The only way to beat them is to destroy the heart. Once found out, the mutants turn to their real form. They become beasts of legend. Serpants that dwell deep in the sea. Lizards that grow in size and take flight to the skies. Hounds that double or triple in size and spew the elements. And many more shapes, colors, and sizes. Once transformed the heart is shown involuntarily, simply dangling around the neck like a pendant. The squad is only one of few groups of people who have survived. Join their journey and witness survival of the fittest. these words are my two cents...(qTHE-ONEp)

I'm in a creative writing class at my high school. We write a lot of short stories and I wanted to share them here. So, I hope you like them.

Among Us: Origins by AidenMonroe23

It took me 7 months, but we're finally here. This has been inspired by my friends and I playing Among Us 600 years into the future, a company by the name of Innersloth have been promoted after an attack on Area 51 revealed that the government had abducted a child in Alaska. As 8 years progress, 11 different individuals uncover that Innersloth isn't as great as the media potrays them to be. Disclaimer: Every origin story told has had key ideas from the player. I didn't make the concept, I just did the writing. Over the past few months you guys have been great to me and this is my present to you. Some stories are also longer than each other but that's because the players just had more ideas to work with, so don't feel offended if your story isn't as long as others because I've put an equal amount of effort into each one. Because it isn't in chronological order, Time does jump around but in the end they all lead to the year 2820. I have needed to change plot devices but only for the stories to all canonically make sense. Enjoy. :)

A blaring set of lights filled my eyes and freezing my body in place, I went into slight shock by the sight. "Let's see what you criminals are made of," He laughed, tormenting my ears with taunting echoes. "After all, this is my game with my rules." I was being tugged away by my partner, who shouted curses at me that I couldn't understand or focus on. "Your lives will always be dispensable." ***** Claire and Raven have been best friends since childhood. They get arrested together, they break the law together, they get drunk together, and they would probably get married, together! When a new pawn has been placed on the game board, it is not only them who is at risk; it is now everyone they have ever contacted. Sacrifices need to be made, people need to be captured or killed just so they can stay above water. Claire and Raven learn that none of their plans will work, and that forbidden love was always a string tied into their relationship.

She comes to realize the world isnt as unforgiving and cold as it seems. She's saved by a native who dislikes humans as much as the next guy but shes intent on sticking by his side in order to survive. The only issue being is the last thing he wants is a pathetic, weak human girl following him around. (Limited time only read!) I have an outline and I worked hard to come up with a compelling and consistent story line, but due to the nature of the story (timey whimey stuff!) It's so lonely here on this big romantic island, in this alien moon colony that I own. With my wife away all week, and my job as an Overlord stressing me out, there's just no time for romance. Fortunately I'm a hive-mind and my former body was male, and HOT. Wouldn't hurt anything to just...have a drink with my cloned self. Passions unfold in this totally dead serious and not at all blatantly satirical story, of sarcastic romance and self-love, where me and other me with a beard, split hairs on the definitions of what having "an affair" even means. Is it even cheating if it's you on you? Maybe, but what our cloned wife doesn't know, won't hurt them. An affair turns to a coverup, and a series of murders to bury the situation. Every step closer to myself, takes me closer to a prison sentence, as things become harder to hide, and suspicious turn to theories. What on Odin's green moon have I done, and do I really want to stop now? It's just starting to get fun.
