No one was like her. Everyone had matching tattoos except for Bear. She was the freak. She would always be a freak. She was the one who had the tattoo that covered her entire body. Changing constantly, no one matched hers. She wasn't born like the others. Her friend Tabby found her soul mate when she was only sixteen. Imagine that . . . A girl finding their soul mate at that age, so young and beautiful. She was a delicate little butterfly, sprouting her wings into this world with an unclear path. But it wasn't unclear because she had someone by her side who she could explore it with. Bear her side was dead air, empty. Her imagination couldn't even keep her entertained. She only lived in a fantasy. A fantasy where it stayed a fantasy. It never could be real because she wasn't beautiful. She was forever marked by her thoughts permanently tattooed at her skin. But what if she wasn't real? What if the universe around her was someone else's story? Roman can't tell until he meets Bear, falling deeply in love as he works on his paintings to keep the rent up. But once he meets Bear everything changes only leaving painting splattered to mark the floor.

(DISCONTINUED) 'A young girl has just been living her life normally; until she turned thirteen--the age where you can find your soulmate. That was when this young girl and their parents--found out that her eyes not only changed colour, but she also had a tattoo/soulmark.' 'For years humans have been born with the ability to find their soulmates by eye colour. The first emotion you feel when you turn thirteen is the emotion that causes your eyes to change to your soulmate's.' 'Monsters have been able to find their soulmates by a tattoo of something that represents their soulmate. Humans, however, do not have tattoos unless they are a monster's soulmate. If this is the case, the 'soulmark' as it is referred to as, will only represent the monster soulmate and will be the single soulmark used to find the other half. A monster can find their soulmate by either of them touching the other's soulmark without having any bandage or piece of cloth in between them. Although rare, it is not uncommon for a monster to have a human for a soulmate--so what if Sans did?' WARNING!: This was a basic summary, I will be adding in a bit more information! Although this IS an 'X-Reader' fanfic, (and my first at writing one) I will be giving the reader heterochromia eyes. You will be able to choose what the colour of her right eye is--but for the sake of this story, her left eye will be green. 1st Book in a Series! AND YESS, the reader will be female. (Sorry guys!!!) I Do Not own Undertale, it is owned by Toby Fox! I do not own 'reader,' you do. (The cover art is the soulmark.)
The Girls with the Flame Tattoos by artsykid04
15 parts Complete Mature
In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper. One day though, they feel their tattoos start to tingle. ____________________________________ *Will they be happy with who their soulmate turns out to be? *Will they recognize each other? *Will they be happy? *Will they break apart? -Read to find out. :) ____________________________________ This book is rated mature because there is a lot of talk of depression and self harm. So if you feel uncomfortable with reading about that.. this book is not for you.

"It's like . . . you know how at the end of summer camp or college everyone packs all their stuff up and drives off before you so they can go home and reunite with family, and the whole camp is empty and you're standing in the middle of your vacant dorm because your ride isn't here yet?" ". . . Yeah?" "It's like that. Immortality is being left behind at camp alone, and you don't know why." She couldn't remember her name. Didn't really matter, plenty of substitutes available. They almost numbered the amount of years she'd been in this world. Luckily for her, there was one reason she was still here, and as soon as she figured out what the hell it was she could fix it and move on. He remembered her. And what she looked like, how she took her coffee, everything. He couldn't get her out of his head. She was his muse, a glimpse into the impossible where he may finally have something to write about. But what happens when inspiration turns into love, especially with someone who is unable to reciprocate it? Does tragedy or intimacy await them? What is destiny, really?
