Nico diAngelo, a 15 year old orphan, has had his family destroyed twice. The only family member he has left is his half-sister Hazel Levesque. They were adopted by a master criminal who has never been caught for any crime he has committed. Their "father" is always drunk and has been doing drugs since before he adopted Nico and Hazel, he forces them to become petty thieves, and if they don't do what he tells them to he beats them. But he also uses anyone they care about as leverage to keep them in check. 

So what will happen when they becomes friends with a group at their high school even though it will put them and all of their friends in danger.

I opened my eyes to see the Prince's worried eyes as he held me steady in his arms.
