The war had just ended and the seventh years have been called back to the ruined Hogwarts to finish their final year. All had been at peace and everyone seemed to be back to themselves.
Draco Malfoy, ex-death eater, betrayer of his family and friends, wishes that he could just have that will to feel needed and loved again.
Hermione Granger, the greatest witch of her age, had done the unthinkable and regrets it with every inch of her soul. The happenings caused her heart to change and break; believing that she was unfixable.

Out of sorts. But she isn't the only one. Draco Malfoy sits at the other end of the Great Hall, by himself, surrounded by the other Slytherins, all avoiding him except for Theo Nott, Blaise Zabini, and Pansy Parkinson. The other death eaters. But Malfoy doesn't seem to notice, too busy staring into nothingness, with grief. Hermione cannot help but stare at the poor boy who everyone hates. Who she hates.
