The Half-Immortal

All I remember was waking up to find a lady with gigantic wings peering over me, and she said the weirdest thing I had ever heard of.

"Sorry, ma'am. Heaven is full, luckily the Gods have decided something for you." She smiled warmly.

"Where the HECK am I?" I hiccuped, abruptly sitting up from the cloudy bed I was lying down on.

"Heaven, and now you'll have to make a choice that will change the rest of your lif- I mean, the rest of your time." She gave the same freaky smile.

Clearing my thoughts, I answered, "What?"

"Since Heaven is full. The Gods have said, if you want to go to hell, or be a half-mortal?" She said with a concerned look on her face.

"What does it mean to go to hell?" I asked a little more calmly.

"Oh, not very pleasing to the imagination, but if you insist. Hell is a place you will be tortured forever. You could be be thrown over and over a cliff into the depths of a fire for a few years, and then you would be pushed into a diff-"

"Yah..." I gulped, getting the idea, "What does it mean to be an immortal?"
