     In the aftermath of the great war, another begins for Juliet. But unlike last war, this one is internal as she deals with the aftermath, the death and chaos that ensues at the end of the war when the dead and injured are sent home to their families. While dealing with her kingdom outside the castle, she also has to deal with what's within. Lord Ashborne still has yet to wake, and she must deal with what she's done in an attempt to save him.
     As rumors about the queen's state spreads Jordan, Damion, Brianna, and Scout race to keep it hidden while Jakob and Alexander weeds out the traitors in their midst. Celebration and sorrow alike sweep through the kingdom and cause conflicts to arise as Juliet tries to protect her people while still protecting herself.
