The derelict, coastal town of Windrixville holds a secret.

Luila Stefansen has the perfect life working as the only female detective in the city and gyrating with her considerate girlfriend, Adrasteia VAN ROMPAEY.

However, when she finds a weathered the medallion in her cellar, she begins to realise that things are not quite as they seem in the Stefansen family.

The exhibition leaves Luila with some startling questions about her past, and she sets off to old-fashioned Windrixville to find some answers.

Zaedy is a 25-year-old woman who has spent her entire life believing in a lie. Kidnapped by her own father, she is forced to confront a terrifying truth: her whole existence has been an elaborate deception. Far from the image of a corporate CFO in a multinational company, her father is the most feared vampire hunter. The leader of an ancient, brutal bloodline-her family, known for generations as merciless killers, committed to the eradication of vampires. What happens when Zaedy is thrust into a world of danger, deception, and deadly politics. One wrong move, one slip-up, and the fragile peace between vampire factions could collapse into an all-out war. Her father and the vampires believes she's just a normal human girl, capable only of following orders and wielding a weapon, nothing more than a pawn-a helpless human who poses no threat. But what they don't know is that Zaedy has been hiding a dark secret. A secret so powerful, so terrifying, that the thought of it would send even the most hardened vampire into a frenzy of fear. Zaedy is not who anyone believes her to be. Beneath her innocent exterior lies a past so tragic, so filled with pain, that it has molded her into something far more dangerous than anyone could ever imagine. A tragedy that could shatter the delicate balance of power in a world ruled by vampires. What happened to Zaedy? What hidden truth makes her more lethal than even her father, the vampire hunter, could ever comprehend? As the stakes rise and the tension builds, Zaedy will be forced to confront her own demons-and the terrifying realization that the line between hunter and hunted is far more blurred than she ever thought. This is a story of betrayal, hidden power, and the brutal weight of a past that refuses to stay buried. With tragic moments and gut-wrenching revelations, Zaedy's journey will take her through darkness and bloodshed, leaving no one-and nothing-untouched.

Felix Jaynes is a special agent for the Real Life Immersion Program (also known as RLIP). A few months ago, she had a traumatic experience that caused her to go from a confident agent who was a phenomenal expert in her field, to suddenly doubting her career. She has recently been sent to an extremely rural town called Toselville. Her mission: find the middle aged son of two weapons designers who created blueprints for the United States government. As time goes on, she befriends Ashton Mathis, the owner of the only grocery shop in town, and his best friend/employee. RLIP agents have partners who talk to them through their small earpieces that cannot be seen. These agents are not allowed to see their partners or even know their names. Felix has had many partners who are generally cold and over-professional. But Felix has been assigned to Wolf, an older gentleman who becomes a sort of wise father figure to her. After going with Ashton and his friends to the town bowling alley, Felix finds that she is starting to get into a clique of her own. Ashton is there to hopefully win Felix's heart, and Felix is there strictly on business, hoping to get information for her case...or so she keeps telling herself. Against Wolf's initial words of wisdom, Felix finds herself thinking about Ashton and accepts his invitation to go out on a date. But Felix accidentally blows her cover, and soon, Ashton is attacked. Felix was able to save him once, but now her enemies will stop at nothing to get to them. Felix is reassigned to a new mission...witness protection for Ashton and herself. Their budding romantic relationship comes to a sharp halt as they now have to focus on working together to survive. They can run, but they know their enemies are never far behind. Their only option to save themselves is to solve this case. And it is not going to be easy.

"Don't die. Please" I squeaked. "Die?" Dragos' expression softened, but a sly smile spread across his face. "Baby, one of these days, I'm going to sit you down and educate you on my history. I've been called many things over the centuries, and Death's Ally was one of them. I've danced with Death more times than I can count." He patted me on the head gently. "It's the vampires who will face my wrath you should be worried about" Dragos' smile grew wider. "Besides, you seem to have forgotten one important thing, darling," he grinned. "I'm immortal. Death doesn't apply to me." ********** Dragos Nicolae Vlad III has chosen solitude over his destined role as the leader of vampires. But when Dawn Carter, a young woman with financial struggles, lands a job at the Vlad mansion, her immunity to Dragos' compulsion stirs something long dead within him. Worry. He needs to find out why. Dawn has no idea vampires exist, let alone that she's living among them or that the dangerously gorgeous Dragos is their chosen one. As feelings start to grow between them, old wounds and new desires surface, but their love isn't meant to be. She is something else. Something pure. And he? A being forged from dark magic, forever damned. A vampire, and not just any kind. Will Dragos give up the first woman to touch his heart in over four hundred years? Or can their forbidden love create a path to peace for both human and vampire species? *Warning* This book contains mature content. (Graphic violence and explicit scenes) Reader discretion advised.

Here's a story of madness, of lost religion, of the mafia and vampires, of unusual loves. If you hated Twilight, you might like this. Even if you liked Twilight, you might like this. Written by a casual historian and skilled novelist, I'm posting it on Wattpad one chapter at a time. Please read and share and let me know what you think. Synopsis: A Balkan crime syndicate tears the heart out of present day New York City. An unholy assassin haunts the dank and festering alleys and tunnels of the frightened metropolis. A dark alliance joins a rival Eastern European mafia to hunt an ancient evil. A band of mercenaries infiltrates the city bent on a mission of destruction and thievery. A slave, imprisoned for a thousand years, yearns for her freedom. And in the teeming city of 12 million, an FBI agent and her partner try to stop the madness that threatens to engulf them all.
