Selena doesn't know much about how she came to become a prisoner in an institution known to the public as the place where natural phenomenons occur, a place where people come in order to control the unique powers that they possess. Little did they know it was the exact opposite of what it wanted to portray to the world, instead it was a playground for scientists gone rogue to study the complexity of the human mind at any cost.

All Selena knows is that one day, she will find a way to escape.

When her plans are disrupted by an odd boy who claims he was sent to rescue her, things take a turn for the worse. Will Selena ever find out how she came to be at the institution? Join Selena on her mission of retribution as she slowly unravels the story of her telekinetic powers.

You're my..." "I know! I know I am. You don't need to remind me." "Apparently I have to cause you're talking about something that is totally illegal. That could land you in prison. And I think that's the last thing you want." "I don't care what happens to me. I care about you. And you know that..." "But loving me isn't the answer," I shouted, tears staining my fair skin. Maac stepped away from the tree, closing the space between us. His hot breath was steaming against my forehead as he looked down at me with his brown eyes, sparkling in the moon's light. "Lemme prove that it is, Sel..." as he lowered his head, lightly placing his lips against mine. I had lost. But he made me not care. Cause I was starting to fall for the last person I should be loving... *************************************** Warning: none of what is in this book actually happened. This is a completely fictional book. DO NOT CALL THE POLICE. This was just an idea I got while sleeping: what if someone did date their high school teacher... and got away with it?

Of Monsters and Humanity: The Genesis

80 parts Complete

{UNEDITED FIRST DRAFT, REWRITE IN WORKS} "...You've made me see that humanity isn't just found in humans. Sometimes monstrosity is found in humans, too." Xander sat back and soaked in my words as he raised his head high. The words hung in the air for moments as we thought of Project X and humans and monsters and experiments and torture and humanity. And how beautifully wonderful the humanity of monsters could be, and how chaotically ugly the monstrosity of humans could be. ~ Terra is a first year pre-medical student with a dark, haunting past. Xander is a supernatural being, a wendigo, taken captive by the government. The two form an unlikely bond before the watchful, corrupt eyes of the United States government's "Project X." As time passes, Terra realizes that her internship with Project X is more than she signed up for. Her humanity and sanity are compromised as she and Damian, nephew to the director of Project X, dig deeper into the dark intents of the Project. In a fight for their lives and freedom, they learn what it truly means to be human.
