Serena Davis had just started over again. Each time she's more bruised than the last. So if she's learned anything by this point it's this.

Anyone that gets close to her gets hurt. She's poison and she refuses to hurt anyone else. No matter who you come in contact with, any familiarity and/or relationship is a liability and potential weakness.

Serena planned on getting through senior year with her head down and not getting close to anyone. With her dark history, it was safer for everyone that way. As soon as she graduated she would disappear, get her degree on an online college, and finally be able to live her life without fear.

However, not everything if going to plan. People in this town are hell bent of breaking down Serena's walls. People that can make Serena open up without realizing it, and can't stand people not fitting in. People that pick up on Serena's smallest slip-ups, and constantly comes dangerously close to determining just what her tortured past hides. People that can talk her into a corner that's impossible to escape with a logic and reason. People that can manipulate her to do things, often without even realizing it. People that Serena finds impossible to hate, and poses a tragic consequence if she can't stay away...

With her plans being thwarted by every angle, will she be able to survive? Or will the past she's been running from for so long finally catch up and do the damage it's promised? One thing is for sure, Serena has one hell of a senior year ahead of her.
