Sebastian Michaelis' life has always been stagnant. The people around him are vacuous, greedy and only hang around him for his money. His parents, although rich, neglect Sebastian and focus only on his successful older brother, Claude, which is probably why they moved away to be closer to him, leaving Sebastian alone in a big, empty house.
