Many years ago, frigid ice covered the land. The people feared the never-ending snow, giving in to fear. They all wondered what this meant, and how they could get rid of it. For decades, both men and women wished for the snow to vanish, to once again feel the grass on their bare feet.
Now, nearly a century later, the people of the land became accustomed to the freezing temperature. They gave up on all hope, and any thoughts of the past were gone.

The snow isn't the worst thing the people of this land must face. Far East, the kingdom of Edoani lies. It's ruled by a ruthless queen, whose only joy is to see her citizens tortured and miserable. The heir to the throne, Prince Derric, hasn't a chance winning the people's favour.
The queen has many guards, two of which she's bestowed lots of power. Keteus and Jak are great enemies, who do their best to make each other miserable.
Avira, a well-known assassin, has escaped from her kingdom of birth, Geitram. When things went wrong, she knew she had to run, but life in Edoani doesn't seem to be much better.
Felisia is a witch from Lardosh, who's come to Edoani as a quest from her queen. She's one of the best witches in her kingdom, and hiding her abilities seems almost impossible.
Deep down in the dungeons of Edoani, a faery named Emayn is bound. The queen saw her as a threat, and is the only one who knows of her existence. But it may not stay that way for long...
Edwin, the royal assassin, has had a life full of misery. Could someone ever change his ways, and bring him back to the light?

Although holding up hope for a new love that evening, he could not predict falling head over heel for a woman with haunted eyes, who secretly hides a crooked and wicked grin and a spark of intrigue unlike any he's glimpses before. After catching the sight of that side of her, and the way her families mistreatment severely dampens it, he finds himself sure of one thing. He's going to get her out their grasp, but doing so might be more tricky then first expected. Miss Harriet Frodesdotter is stuck in a hell of constantly being forced into a uncomfortable, lace covered, dress, into unbearably loud ballrooms, and dealing with condescending suitors that her controlling sister manages to steer towards her. The sudden approach by a Lord Pendragon does make her pause however, his sweet and concerned eyes appearing to be almost horrifyingly sincere as he offers to help her with her family issues. She doesn't trust him, he's not the first to claim to be her savour for purely selfish reasons, but something tells her that there's something more to him, and not in a bad way. ~ Content warning for ableism, family issues (including abuse, I don't perceive it as especially graphic, but it's there) and depictions of meltdowns.Complete
