Thirteen year old Bala is currently the navigator/second mate on the ship headed for the Hunter Exam. However, this will be her last run as a part of the crew because as soon as they dock she plans on taking the Hunter Exam. A complicated past leaves many dead and a friend missing. Will she find who she seeks? Or do other parts of her past come to haunt her before she can even get her first clue about his whereabouts?
