After Dan Howell dies at the tragically young age of 26, he is greeted by death with a book. A book of every lie that anyone had ever told him. This seems like harmless fun but as he nears the end, he realized everything isn't as it seemed in life with his best friend, Phil Lester. Dan is highly depressed and falls for Phil, his best friend who tries to help him out of his self destructive path. Trigger warning -mention of self harm, death, eating disorders, alcoholism. Some personal views about these issues are expressed so I'm sorry if you don't agree with them but hey that's why I said "personal".

Dan Howell had been at a Catholic school all of his life. He ate, breathed and lived as a good Christian boy should. However, it didn't fit him, he didn't feel right promising himself to a God he didn't fully believe in. With countless rules Dan wasn't sure he could live his life to eternally, he starts to wonder if this life is his, or his parents. Suddenly, as he begins to doubt everything he's ever been taught, a reformer is brought to St Patricia's, somebody who has the power to change everything; as cliche as it sounds. Dan begins to feel things he ought not to as a good Christian boy, but not every rule is okay to be broken. (triggers: religion, [like a crap ton, there will be good religious people and bad there will be representation of both trust me], death, homophobia, mild bodily harm [not self inflicted], boy x boy [legit what did you expect tho]) {additional trigger warnings will be added as the story progresses as I don't have it figured out lol whoops}

Phil is an orphan, bullied, and living alone with no friends in a home. He does his best not to let that fact that no one seems to care about him get to him, but it's getting harder. Then a nice couple start to take interest in him, and it turns out they have a son his age, Daniel, but the love they begin to share isn't of a brotherly nature...

Dan's a very shy pastel kid, who's always has a flower crown atop his curly brown hair. Phil Lester has always watched Dan from afar, to scared he would frighten the small boy. He has many tattoos and piercings, even his hair is dyed blue. One day he walks up to the roof of the high school, and sees Dan standing on the ledge about to jump. They both don't fit into their highly religious town, and it drives them crazy.
