A 16 year old girl named Chrysanthemum Ferndend is liveing in the Seam of district 12. Her sisters life was taken in the 46th Hunger Games. One by one Chrysanthemum's family fell apart. Both parents abandoned her out of shame and depression. Chrysanthemum was forced to stay in a town home with the other children with no parents or gardians who could not take care of them. She finds herself in the worst situation possible, and that is in the Hunger Games. Chrysanthemum had a choice though. Let the reaped girl go ahead into the games with no words said, or volunteer as tribute for no apparent reason. Well guess what one Chrysanthemum chose. Thats right, Chrysanthemum Ferndend, the tribute of district 12 for the 49th Hunger Games. Chrysanthemum wanted to show not just the capitol that she isn't going to let the death of her sister bring her to weaker heights and levels, when she is much more. She thinks her desicion is fine until, Xander Gerry, her cousin is also chosen as tribute. Chrysanthemum knew she had no choice now but to kill him or let him be killed by another tribute. But in doubts way there is no tunnle or maze out of this sittuation. But what happenes when Chrysanthemum starts to fall for the tribute boy of District 11, Cy? And only one can survive, so what will he do when his feelings for Echo grow even further? And if they both manage to be victors, doing the same stunt that Katniss and Peeta did in the 74th Hunger Games, how will they see each other again? And how will he get Stephanie to survive as well? Jark's life is falling apart the moment his name gets called at the Reaping.

Aren Harker wasn't sure on whether he would be okay with being reaped or not. No one wanted to, but if your name was drawn there was no option. He wasn't sure how his parents would react if their second child was reaped, just as their first had been. Aren's sister had been reaped 10 years prior, for the 58th games, and she didn't make it past the first 24 hours. He worried if his own name was drawn his fate would be similar. Suzie is just a normal girl from district 2 whos family has died because of the cruel Capitol, and all she wants is to do is be with them again. She figures the best way to finally be with her family again is to volunteer for the hunger games. Then someone else could kill her and she wouldn't have to kill herself. Also her father was in the games and she wanted to make him proud. So she comes up with a plan to go around all the districts gathering different types of skills and once she gets back to district 2 she will volunteer. Making her father proud was the thing she loved to do the most. Her father was her idol. But she doesnt have to volunteer. Suzie Timmer thought she would never get chosen at the reaping because she is not apart of any of the districts except district 2. But the Capitol figures out her plan, they figure out what she has been doing, so they purposly pull her name out at the reaping in district 4... It's a tense and brutal battle, but in the end, Grace manages to emerge victorious, becoming the first tribute from District 12 to win the Hunger Games twice. However, the victory is bittersweet, as Grace is haunted by the deaths of her father and James Anderson, the father of her daughter, and she knows that the Capitol will not take her defiance lightly. With the help of Katniss and other rebels, Grace begins to plan her next moves, knowing that the fate of her daughter and the entire district is at stake.
