This is a story about the Grisha trilogy. I am going to add some things that happened in the book, and also some of my own creations. The biggest part of this fanfic is Darklina's change of feelings throughout the time. I honestly didn't like the ending of the Trilogy, even through the Darkling's "evilness" I still always shipped Darklina. I think that the Darkling and Alina were each others balance, each other's yin yang, or so you would say. So I hope you enjoy this fanfic! Oh, and by the way, this is mostly in the Darkling's POV.

After killing the stag and forcing the amplifier on Alina, the Darkling decides that letting Alina and Mal go might be a better investment. After all, the boy is only mortal, one day he will die and Alina will return to his waiting arms. "I'm not going to kill you, Mal. I don't need to. Time will do it for me" ________________________________ "All right." She did little to hide her shock. "What?" "You can go, Alina." She narrowed her eyes and opened her mouth but he cut her off before she could spew whatever distrustful comments she had planned. "You and the tracker can go and live out your merry little lives. Have your 50 years, maybe even 70 if you're lucky, and when your fantasy crumbles around you, you will see that only you and I remain.
