I took a deep breath in before grabbing my trapeze, and swung gracefully towards the center of the ring. I released the trapeze and grabbed my mom's wrists. My body swung, flipping me back to my own trapeze. We did a couple simple tricks before I started to dismount. I swing my legs up around the bar before flipping off. My body straightened out and I began to let my body fall in an X. I landed on the ground and instantly carried into a somersault. I waited for the sound of the two bodies whistling down to greet the ground. When I didn't, I looked up to see my adoptive parents falling. Time seemed to slow almost to a stop. The bars of the trapeze landed with a crash on the ground beside me.

Cathleen was only five when it happened, when her parents died before her eyes. That night started out amazing, she had dinner with them and they went out for ice cream. However, Gotham isn't a place where good things last. When they made it to their car, it exploded, killing her mother instantly, her father rushed to save his daughter, but was gunned down. That's when she met Batman, and Red Robin, and Red Hood, And Nightwing. They saved her, they notice that she shouldn't be in Juvi, so they bring her to an orphanage. Weakness
It was an inside joke. Each of the 'batfam' had a weakness. No one - not even Alfred - knew Batman's. Damian's was easy; Damian's was the heat. Couldn't stand it; he got way too hot way too quickly. Tim's was the dark. Was never found asleep without either a light on or the door open with a light on outside. Jason's was water. He couldn't hold his breath and had panic attacks when he had prolonged contact; say he was in a pool. Dick had two; cold and poison. He froze in twelve degrees (C) and never left the house with a jacket on. And the poison traveled at least three times as fast through his bloodstream as he didn't clot easily. Alfred had one too; as impossible as it seems. I made my way to the kitchen as usual and opened the fridge and grabbed a drink. My mom was usually in here,preparing a snack for my brother and I but today she wasn't.
