"(your name)! Me and your stepfather are going out to eat and your sister is at a friends house." your mom said loudly.
"OK!" I yell back she had already told me at least two minutes ago that she was leaving on a date with my stepfather. I was home all alone a lot so this didn't bother me.
"lock all the doors ok we love you bye" my mom said. I was so into my game that I thought I'd just do it later. I didn't live in the richest neighborhood but it still was a nice enough neighborhood that it didn't matter to me. I paused my game and got a snack in the kitchen, then locked up the house. When I got back to my room I got a text from my friend asking me to come over. I said that I needed to watch the house, apologized and turned off my phone. I noticed that my window was open?" I thought I closed it when I left?"
