Maggie Clark and Emma Hart are best friends. They do everything together, have every class together, and have the same friends. Everything is great... Until Emma gets some news that will change the two forever.
She's moving.
She moves an hour and forty five minutes away to Mount Pleasant, to live next to her cousins, as her mom got a job teaching at her aunt's elementary school. The two and the rest of their friends are devastated.
What will they do without each other?!
But Maggie comes up with an idea. Since both girls love to write, why not write every day to stay in touch? And they keep their word.
Dear You, You're Not Alone is the story of their freshmen year apart, through letters. They help each other through thick and thin and show each other, they aren't alone. They're still together.

This is going to be weird. At first at least. I haven't talked to you in over a year, but the teacher said we should use this diary to express our emotions and the only one I could ever be one hundred percent honest with is you. Those letters to you are worth 25% of my final grade so I must find some interesting things to talk to you about. It's going to be good for me too. It'll help me move on. Help me live my life again.
