Maggie Clark and Emma Hart are best friends. They do everything together, have every class together, and have the same friends. Everything is great... Until Emma gets some news that will change the two forever. She's moving. She moves an hour and forty five minutes away to Mount Pleasant, to live next to her cousins, as her mom got a job teaching at her aunt's elementary school. The two and the rest of their friends are devastated. What will they do without each other?! But Maggie comes up with an idea. Since both girls love to write, why not write every day to stay in touch? And they keep their word. Dear You, You're Not Alone is the story of their freshmen year apart, through letters.
