People have died. Souls have become stagnant. A war that seeks to reduce the Empire to ash is inevitable. Aviana Birchwood remains as a beacon of hope, burdened with stolen magic and the head of the Empire's last hope.
                                                         -------------------------------------------------
Aviana returns to find that Cadelith has fallen into chaos. The Insurgent has re-emerged, stronger in Aviana's absence. The Legion reels from the events at Aoak, struggling to hold the Empire together as the taint of the Insurgent expands into the Emperor's inner-circle.

The Insurgent will do anything to make sure he doesn't fail a second time. He will reduce the world to ash. All that stands before him is the Legion, created in a time of desperation and now remains the Empire's last desperate hope of salvation.

BOOK THREE || The Oblivion's Embrace Saga... ... Her mind is slowly falling into the oblivion After watching everyone fall, Lucy is no longer the girl she once was. The world has shattered, and so has her mind. The darkness inside her grows as she and the few survivors-Maisie, Kassian, Mel, Jace, and Kasper-traverse a landscape drowned in blood and death. Maisie, with her sadistic love for fire, burns everything in her path, her laughter echoing through the charred ruins. Kassian, ever-loyal, stays close to her side, though his eyes betray a growing fear. Jace, Lucy's once steadfast best friend, now fights not only to protect her but to keep her from slipping further into madness. Mel, the last remnant of Lucy's past, begins to see the cracks in Lucy's sanity. The Fates will cut another string... Lucy's grip on reality starts to unravel. Whispers in the dark taunt her, pulling her deeper into a pit of insanity. The faces of the dead mock her in twisted visions. She can feel the madness clawing at her mind, but there's no escape. Not anymore. In the midst of this horror, new figures emerge from the shadows: Max, a little girl with a hidden talent, and Cupid, whose name is a cruel joke, for nothing she's seen speaks of love or mercy. Lucy must decide if they are allies or enemies in a world where trust is a death sentence. Blood is the currency of survival, and Lucy is paying in gallons. As the bodies pile up and the darkness consumes her, the line between hunter and hunted blurs. In the end, there may be nothing left of Lucy but a hollow shell-a vessel for the madness that now controls her. The end is inevitable. The only question is how many more will die before it comes.

Having a Gift is supposed to be good. But Edileth's feels more like a curse. Vowing to hide her abilities post-catastrophe, she leads a simple, disciplined life as Captain of the Guard in Kerindh. But this is all thrown into chaos when she is summoned by the Ferlian Order to transport an ancient relic for them. Edileth accepts, not knowing that it will lead her to participate in a power struggle much bigger than herself. On her journey, she is aided by a spontaneous elf who tests her patience, a healer who soothes more than physical ailments, an enchanter who is more than he seems, and an elite ranger with all the personality of a rock. Their common goal to prevent Gael-Narenth from falling to Si-ol's tyrannical sorcerer-king brings them together in more ways than one, and Edileth starts to care for her companions. But it is impossible to ignore the war approaching, and Edileth must embrace her scorned gift, or watch her companions perish. ~~~~ Won 2nd place in the Fantasy genre for The Lotus Awards 2020.
