An otter and a Selkie, together in a place of aquatic beauty.

Aquarian Love is a story of love between two anthropomorphic animals: River (a sea otter) and Galia (a Selkie).

River comes from the land above the water, Marina. Galia comes from Aquaria, a place under the water.

River has been breathing the air through his lungs his entire life. Galia has been breathing the water through her gills for most of her life, though she can also breathe the air through her lungs as well.

Galia never really knew much about her parents, other than what her grandmother told her. River lived with his mother, but hasn't seen his father since he was 3 years old.

Galia maintains the air oasis areas for travelers who come from the surface to Aquaria. River is still trying to find his place.

One day, River decides to start searching for his father. His search eventually takes him to Aquaria.

Armed with the knowledge he has of his father, a collar & watch that measure his lung capacity, a waterproof cellphone, and lots of determination; River searches Aquaria for his father.

In the process, River meets Galia, in a bar. He decides to ask her for help finding his father.

The two end up going on a wild adventure together in Aquaria.

But will the fact that River can't breathe underwater be the undoing to the love he has found for Galia? Or will he somehow find a way to stay underwater with her?

(Thanks to my co-writer, Mary, for helping me with this story! I'm posting this story here for us both, since we have been working together so hard on it! Without her, the story wouldn't have been seen through Galia's eyes. So I'm thanking her for all the hard work she has been doing!)

Before Lucia tries to get out of the water, she was suddenly transformed into a mermaid by the two white witches. There are two ways to break the spell before her time is up by the next month. If Lucia gets a kiss by the merman, she'll be a mermaid for all eternity. If the princess gets a kiss from the prince on land, she will be human again. If not, she will be lost in the world of water.
