Twelve days for twelve years, twelve glimpses of twelve Christmas Day's. From 2005 to 2016, follow the holiday for each year with the Winchesters, and the others who got picked up along the way. 

The context of the chapters regarding episodes are below, based on canon timeline or episode release. In a way, spoilers, so don't read if you don't want to have anything spoiled either because you haven't watched the show in it's entirety or because you don't want to know the context of chapters before you read them, so don't read ahead unless you don't care. According to the Supernatural Wiki, the year-long time jumps between Season 5 and 6 and Season 7 and 8 don't actually affect the timeline and when the episodes are set, so I'm just ignoring them. Makes it easier for me anyway.

You grew up to be a hunter despite your fathers wishes for you. Your father, Bobby Singer, hated that you were in this line of work, and he always blamed himself for ridding you of a normal life. Those weeks and sometimes months when Sam and Dean Winchester lived with you were the best times of your life. The two brothers were your best friends. Dean was the first person to teach you how to shoot, hell he was the first on to teach you most things in this line of work. For a little while you saw them as your brothers, that is, until you and Dean had turned 16 years old. The two of you had celebrated your birthdays together when John (Dean and Sam's dad) dropped them off at your house for nearly six months. During that extended stay you had developed a sort of crush on Dean that you never saw coming. Unfortunately you never were able to explore the possibilities of that relationship as you rarely saw him after those short 6 months. Only every once in a while, then never again after your father had threatened John, cursing him to never show his face around the scrap yard again. He even cocked the shotgun and everything.
