"I missed you." Kell said simply, knowing it for the truth it was. This was way deeper than he'd ever been before. He swam to the side of the pool and stared up at her.
"I missed you too." Her lips parted, and he nudged her closer, memorizing each soft feature.
"No, babe, you got me square in the---" He chuckled as she drew back with a startled gasp recalling where she had just accidentally kicked him.
Maille got up and went to get a towel. Kell followed her slowly, feeling returning to parts he'd rather have forgotten about.
"I have plans for you. Dress! Dress! Dress!" he announced as she began to head for the kitchen. She whirled around.
"Plans?"
It was dark throughout the house. She was simply a silhouette against the city lights. And standing there, he knew. She was the one. She could never go back to her house. He had to keep her there, with him, always and forever.
And what did forever look like to this sheltered little Mann Girl? At what point would Kell be able to reveal his secrets to her? Could he lay the decision to stay with him at her feet? Could she accept the man he was now? Or would knowing the truth destroy the fragile unity they'd haltingly built? He hesitated.
What would be the cost?

He still managed to lie in front of me?! My fists clenched. I just smiled bitterly at him before I turned and ran out of the house. I didn't look at him again and I know he followed me because I heard him calling my name. I can barely see the road I'm running to because of my blurred vision. It hurt so much! It's like I'm slowly being crushed by this disease. Why did I love someone like him and why didn't I love Tristan? He is better over him! Why is the world so unfair?! Why me?! I was deaf and I couldn't hear anything because my mind was consumed by emotions. I don't know if this road I ran is still right. I suddenly came back to my thoughts when I heard a loud beep of a car. The last thing I saw was Rasmus' shocked eyes as he ran towards me. It was now nighttime and I returned to my room which was very dark. The curtains were closed, strange I'm sure it was open this morning... Whatever. I put my bag down and went straight into the shower. I didn't spend a long time inside cause I was very tired and wanted to sleep. It was an exhausting day, I searched for some work, but like usual I failed... I sighted. I went out of the bathroom with only a towel around my waist and started to sit down when someone pushed me into the floor. Shit! Who was that? What did he want? I was very afraid and I had a lot of question passing my mind in this few seconds but didn't want to submit to my aggressor. I groaned and tried to get myself up, but he... Yeah, he was too strong and big to be she... Put his knee on my back and started to tie my hands together with some rope. Was he trying to kidnap or tie me? I froze in fear for a few seconds and stopped moving. I suppose he let his guard down since I stopped struggling, so I took this chance and flipped us over. It was now my turn to be on top and somehow succeeded to untie myself. I was lucky he didn't have time to fully tie me yet, so it was kind of easy. It was dark, so I couldn't see his face, but I still put my hands around his throat and started to strangle him a bit. 'W-Who are you and w-what do y-you want?' I asked trying to hide my fear that I miserably failed. '...' He still didn't respond, I was starting to loose control on myself. His silence was killing me and I started to shake in fear. Then he spoke and caught all my attention: 'You're so cute when you're afraid pet.' I froze, I recognized this voice and my fear turned to be true. All the struggling to escape, to disappear, to forget about him now came back in an instant. I was now trembling constantly losing all control of my body, my hand lets go of the man throat and all I could do was shakily say: 'Dimitri...' She wore what might be flatteringly acceptable for the climate, her white clothing pristine though she had just fought, the gold glimmering from an engraved belt around curved hips that reminded me of the one around my own. By the time my eyes rose she was only inches from me, her hair falling about her shoulders because of the speed she used. She looked me over thoroughly, and I raised my chin and narrowed my eyes. Nothing but a small smile from her in response made me frown. "What is wrong, son of Jor-El?" her voice was soft but smooth. "You know who I am?" "Of course I do, it's right here--" She traced the "S" on my chest with a single finger and then trailed down to my belt and tapped it. "I'm sorry about your parents." She paused, touching my hair. "So, you are the last son of Krypton...and there is still no order here?" "Who are you?" "Can't read?" She asked, clucking her tongue as she put her hands on her hips. My eyes went down as she tapped her belt, but then I felt my cheeks flush. "Shame, Kal-El, shame." "What?" "Last son you may be, Kal-El, but I'm the last daughter." And she was gone in a flash of white and gold...quicker than the blink of an eye, a speeding bullet. Like me. NOTE: I am aware of the DC Comics version of Isis. I thought it was lacking. He asks, hesitating on the crackers and pushing them away. "I just thought-it's just- well... you just always seem so pissed when someone mentions the word gay." I spit out words, scared for his reaction. He sighs, "That doesn't fucking mean I hate gays. Normally when I do that it's because someone's using the word 'gay' to hate on them, it just pisses me off, you know?" He asks, bringing the crackers back into his lap and biting into them. "Plus-" He adds on, "You're my best friend, if anything, you being gay is a blessing. I'll always support you." He says, glancing at me through the side of his eyes. He once told me no one knows the real him.I didn't think he meant it, and not in a good way. He is a straight A student, and everyone knows it, not to mention he is on the swim team. All that though isn't the real him, the real him hides deep within himself. ---------- "Can you please tell me what that was?" I nearly shout at him. All I get is silence. He keeps his back to me. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?"
