After the death of her twin sister, seventeen year old Melanie Plaisted has to see a psychologist because her mother is afraid that she'll do the same thing.

Melanie starts to isolate herself from her old friends, who don't seem too worried about getting her back.

She then meets new kids Daniel Brown and Samantha Adler and, alongside with them, she'll find out that there's more to her sister's suicide than she inicially expected.
