Katie Wilson is a tomboy. She plays airsoft, rides four-wheelers, and is an xbox addict. She is pretty, though, and has a boyfriend every now and again, but most of the time at school, she's a nobody. The kind of person someone knows as, "Hey, your her friend." All she wants is to be different. To be one of the awsome characters in books. But what she doesn't know is that she is. When a paranormal exprience happens, it awakens another side of her. Suddenly, she doesn't want to be part of a old as time prophecy even if she happens to find love along the way. She also doesn' want to be something else. A witch.
Fifteen year old Aine Corcoran doesn't get guys. They just confuse her. In fact, her theory is that they're all aliens who secretly came to earth from a distant planet. So she tries to keep her distance from them.
Unfortunately, she might not like them very much, but they seem to be extremely fond of her. But just when Aine thinks she has a handle on the situation, her childhood friend (who, by the way, is suddenly a lot better looking than he was before) declares his sudden devotion to her. Add some embarrassing moments, a song dedication and a self proclaimed bad boy who just won't leave Aine alone and you've got the recipe for a nightmare summer. What's a girl to do?
