Apathetic:
Void of feeling; not susceptible of deep emotion; passionless; indifferent.

Art by: kiriririririri

(Douma's a human instead a demon. His mom's name will be Aiko and his dad will be Kazue. Not official)

He couldn't "feel" of what you call "emotions". Even in his very small age. Which normally children will be full of them as they easily express themselves but not for Douma. Although, he has heard of them, he doesn't know what it's like to have such things inside of you. Or even understand them. He doesn't even try since he doesn't see the value of them. Or why they exists. Or if they are. He pretends to have them with false friendly personality and a false cheery side. He doesn't even receive what you call "affections" from his own parents. Though he doesn't care. They're too busy grooming him into the religious leader of the Paradise Faith cult. They focus on making him the true founder who is gifted with his magnificent eyes from the Gods. Since they believed he can hear the voice of Gods rather than giving him "love" which is such a weird term to him. They're making him carry such responsibilities of hearing people's burden. He doesn't mind of course. The fact he has to pretend to even care about his followers' boring "sob" stories. Especially when they don't accept something so simple.

"Once they die, it's all just gonna return to nothing. They won't feel anything."

That's what he truly believes.

"And then they rot into the ground. As long as you live on this Earth, that's your eternal fate."

But he also believes he would help them.

To make them happy.

To have them to be a part of him.

However that changed when he met a pretty but naive girl by the river in the deep woods.

He honestly thought she was pretty stupid.

But.

He couldn't help to enjoyed being around her.

To the point, he actually feels.

How long will this last?

Is this okay?

It's starting to change his thoughts about reality and himself.

The Fates and their mother Ananke are cruel mistresses. They had given Izuku a cruel and unfortunate fate. Even as a young child his life was nothing to envy, being treated as a slave by his own mother and stepfather. He learned that life only brings misery the longer you live at a young age. All because of the misfortune brought upon him from being born a demigod with the fate of the world in his hands. As such he envied everyone with a better life them him. For example, his twin sister, Izumi Yagi. Everything and I mean everything he had ever wanted she had been given on a silver platter. She didn't know pain, she didn't struggle, she had a quirk. All she knew was a life filled with comfort and unconditional love while he experienced hell in every sense of the word. While she was trained as a hero he was trained as an assassin by the most wanted group in the world. She had everything Izuku ever and continues to desire. Except for her brainless mind. They say too much power makes you brainless, but Izuku would find out that it was only if you relied on it. He had soon found out he had power greater and more versatile than his sister. However, he knew he didn't need it. After all, with his mind, who needs the amount of power he wields. Some may say he is a genius, and he is, but who said even a genius didn't struggle for their position. Who said they didn't suffer the most? Who said they didn't struggle for the power...for the knowledge they wield? Whoever did is wrong, because those geniuses and their lives would drive the average being insane with grief, paranoia, or simply just insanity. This is the story of one such genius.

The moment everything changed was the moment Doma felt something within him. His chest was not hollow - his heart was not still... not anymore. Something in him stirred and he felt a small twinge of his lungs, filling him with foreign warmth. Suddenly, the world was vibrant, and at the center of it was her. She was called Kotoha, a young woman with dark hair, deep beautiful eyes, and a truly lilting voice that seemed to soothe the heavens in its softness. Doma was transfixed. The baby in her arms suddenly didn't seem so annoying in its cooing and her smile didn't seem fake as he assumed most were. The day everything changed was the day Doma smiled for the first time. WARNING: Contains death, gore, reference to SA, trauma, blood, foul language, and angst. There will be more specific TW on chapters that handle heavier topics but these are the main ones. WARNING: Also contains a reformed Doma, a redemption for Akaza (with some romance included), Inosuke gets a family, Kotoha gets to be happy, Daki and Gyutaro get to heal, Genya and Sanemi WILL communicate eventually, Uzui is vibin', Kanae gets to L I V E, Tamayo gets some motherly recovery, Kokushibo has an existential crisis, Nezuko will eventually get some character development, Muzan is TICKED, and life is good... mostly. Also, Kotoha adopts... everyone. Just... everyone. I don't own Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) or any of the art! Yes, I am aware most spellings spell Doma's name as Douma; no I'm not changing it no we're too far gone.
