(Wanted to make a story about my top OC on deviantart! B3 ...I need to find a cover page for this ;; )

Everyone knows the energetic, shy kid known as Max the Dog. He is known to be best friends Cat and Zorix's (well, for Cat... Heheheh X3). None of them knew of his past, since he refused to speak about it. But what exactly happened? 
Well, in this story, you will find out Max's haunting past... but it's more of a nightmare to him. (Ergh!... this description sucks!! ;; )

My Feral by dearest-queerest-nux

It's the Max and Nux au that no one asked for. But, I write what I want! Anyway, this au is set in this time period because I am a lazy writer. So, Max is a doctor at his local hospital, pushing 31 with a habit of grunting in response to questions, and a bum leg that he can't seem to get rid of. Max is kind of a drifter, and doesn't usually settle down for long. But, after losing his wife and child a couple years ago, he's been in the same place for two years. Small town life is kind of boring, though. Max is doing what he loves, though, helping people. Then, this racecar driver named Nux ends up in his ER, smashed up from a bad car accident. Nux is....different. With buzzed-down black hair, robin's egg blue eyes, wicked scarification around his mouth and chest, he throws Max for a loop. Nux is a smart-mouthed, doe-eyed 26 year old that may or may not have a death wish. Just as Max is getting used to be getting called "Maxy," and "my feral," The rest of Nux's family shows up. Slit is Nux's older brother, and a single father raising his daughter, Furiosa. Furi for short. She is 8 years old, and missing an arm. It doesn't bother her, though, and her prosthetic arm is wicked it it's construction and functionality. And, even though Max hasn't been with anyone-male or female-since his wife passed, he finds himself liking Nux. And, Slit is another matter altogether. Max grew up around him, and had treated him a lot for various broken bones. But, even though Slit has these crazy scars on his face, and refers to things as "shiny and chrome" a lot, he knows what is going on. He sees and knows all, as he likes to remind the two younger men. And if Max ends up hurting Nux, then Slit and Furi will have him for breakfast. Max can't help but wonder what he's gotten himself into, but he doesn't mind. It's a nice sort of crazy, being around this ragtag group of people.

"Oh... Max, what's the matter? Why aren't you in bed?" He quietly walks towards me, and crawls onto the bed with his paws trembling. "It... It was really cold outside. I couldn't sleep. And the couch was hurting my back..." He looks at me, his eyes showing fear. "And... And I had a nightmare, and I know I sound childish right now. I was wondering if... Maybe I could sleep with you tonight?" He asks, crawling towards me. I pull him closer. "A nightmare? What was it about?" I ask him. He shakes a bit more and nuzzles his snout into my chest. 21 year old Max didn't know what to say when he was chosen to be the prince's spouse, judging by how the bakery he owned made little to no money. But the day he was chosen, everything changed. As they finally start to get used to each other, Prince Leo notices that things are changing beyond their kingdom, and Max must compete in a championship purely for one's entertainment. Through broken bones and pure determination, he finally gets to prove he's worthy enough for the prince. (NO FANFICTION. Fanarts fine. Book contains sexuality but I didn't mark it as Mature because, well, that's the only thing in there. It doesn't have sex scenes or anything just cuddling. Not like its full on smut. So its not mature.)
