When Ellie's body finally betrays her by fainting in front of her tennis coach, her dead-beat Dad has no choice but to send her away to Fremantle Adolescent Psychiatric Ward - or the Sick Kidz Club as it's known by its teenage residents. Determined that she's fine, Ellie's health is slowly spiralling downwards while she continually refuses help. With the help of Doc Mark and the friends she makes in the ward, Ellie is slowly getting better - or so they think.
