Clare is an average girl with an average college dormitory life.
Another girl, Clare once could call friend, but now, to Clare, she is an outsider and a threat.

Here, in the land of Kydrylese magic and destiny control almost everything. It is an annual occurrence in Kydrylese that one human, from the age of 13-20, be teleported there. Once on the island, the human is bound to an animal known as a spirit beast. These creatures represent the personalities and traits of their partner. not only this, but they can allow them to channel great power into their weapon.

Under unusual circumstances, Clare is teleported here against her will and forced to adapt to a new life that is almost medival. Not only that, but there is now a great darkness that looms overhead. Oddly, Clare is more familiar with it than she ever thought before. The problem is, Clare isn't alone and the evil has yet to strike. How can she fight it while it lays awake, but inactive? Maybe, the plethora of challenges this land has brought can be here greatest weapon against the darkness and that which she can not see.

Clare doesn't fear death, that is the easy part. What she does fear is the act of dying, letting darkness receive that sweet satisfaction. While she may not fear death, others do. Will they be willing to risk their lives for the greater good? The destiny of the spirit beasts and their humans? Every hero can rise, but which can stay there? Who will fall?
