This is a story of when humanity must put their belief in demons, because the angels have all fallen.

For as long as he can remember, Andrew has done his best not to use his powers. He doesn't hate them, rather, he feels they were thrust unfairly upon him. A responsibility he never asked for. He can control them like no one else before, but one thing he cannot control, is the toll it takes. Because of this, Andrew Thaddeus Shane has vowed never to use his powers again. On top of that, he has unreasonably high self expectations, struggles with depression, and recently, has started hearing voices in his head. Are they false, or something more? He doesn't know, until one day, his past calls to him.

Rachel has always been running. She was manipulated and betrayed by those who took advantage of her most vulnerable moment, and trusted them. Since then, she vowed never to trust again. But she might have to at one point, because the fires have started again, and nothing around her is safe anymore. Rachel Samantha McKenley must find a teacher. Because this time, her life depends on it.
