He was a vampire while Amara was a Dracula/witch and Jerome(her brother) was just a Dracula the only reason she was a witch was because of her mother. Their uncle wanted to be a Dracula but his brother ( Count Dracula) inherited that from their father and Damian was jealous of all the power they had especially Amara. He found a way to get their power but needed an amulet that Amara had and when Amara found out her brother and her went to different places so they couldn't be captured but when they got to the eleventh place they had been to Amara got captured by Aiden the ruthless gang leader called The blood hounds ( sorry I couldn't think of any thing so I picked the first name that came to my mind😊)
