"EUNICE!" I screamed, spotting her face among the others. Yet as soon as I spoke, a large, metal scythe flashed out of nowhere and cut her into bits, throwing her onto the pile of corpses at the foot of the wall. The beggars hunched over the meat and began to feast hungrily, blood now lining their face like sick war paint. I was screaming, make it stop, make it stop, make it STOP! Yet the vision was still going on, and my hand was frozen, and it couldn't move to close the curtains. I began to cry, my tears tasting terrible and disgusting as they dripped into my mouth. I hunched over on my knees and begged for the world to stop rotating, begged for my life to end, begged for the angel to come and save us, begged for the angel, begged for the angel.

Proposal of Submission - Psychic the Saga
Hello, I want to first thank you for taking the time to read my proposal, as I know that there are many others you must work through who have done the same as I; please, trust me when I say that your attention is greatly appreciated. I am messaging you today because I wish to submit a selection of excerpts taken from the series of science fiction/science fantasy stories I have written; called Psychic the Saga. I'm a former United States Marine, and a currently enrolled Aerospace Engineering undergrad at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Over the course of the last eight years, during which the earlier stated experiences have occurred in my adult life, I have continually written the story I am now presenting for your consideration. Outside of writing as a hobby, and what was needed when submitting assignments, my only writing credential is a published engineering research paper in the European Physical Letters: 'Tailorable Twisting of Biomimetic Scale-Covered Substrate'; of which, my main contributions were that of the experimentation, and the editing/proofreading of the paper. In regards to my submission, the story of Psychic follows our trio and the rest of their friends as they fight for peace and stability within the newly unveiled realm of psychics, once hidden amongst the world for untold millennia. The statistics of Book One are as follows: word count = ~205279, page count = ~396, target audience = young/new adult (16~34 yr. of age). The reasoning behind this age range is two-fold: the concepts, morals and lessons, themes, and situations/ problems faced by the main characters are both relatable and beneficial for this age group; also yes, there is foul language, and yes there are very visceral depictions of violence. Also also (lol), I wish to give a disclaimer in terms of any romance, love, or anything else similar; I intentionally never take the story beyond anything more intimate than a kiss. So there. When ever he gets home from the pub or his friends house he comes home all drunk and can get very abusive that's why I have all these bruises and cuts on my body that leave scares. I got up from my bed a shoot of pain went down my body from the previous beating he gave me the night before, I glanced at the alarm clock and read 3:47, yep that's my uncle goes and comes back late really drunk. I walked down the wooden stairs to my uncle to received the regular beating only this time with a whip!! "Aww is Annaaa scared??" He slurred "WHAT!?! Are you crazy you gonna kill me" I partially yelled I was quite proud of myself that's the first time I stood up to him! I felt his hand connect with my check in a matter in seconds and made me go straight to the floor, then he stared to kick me numerous which made me whine in pain and became more unbearable. Then he brought out the whip and whipped me uncountable times and started to see black spots in my vision and the last whip that I remember I blacked out and darkness took over. I felt tingles in my feet and arms and struggled to even open my eyes it felt like they were stuck down with super glue. I tried to open my eyes and finally seceded, my vision was all blurry from being passed out and crying. I blinked a couple of times to gain my original eyesight back. I hear a footstep to the right of me. I turn to face the right but nothing's there. Vampire. I feel like something is coming up from behind me. I spin and slice at whatever's coming at me. I look down and it's not there. I look down at Ares and blood is dripping from Ares. I'm thrown off my feet and I land on my back. I raise my sword as something goes to clash down on me. Another sword. It's pushing down hard on my sword. I raise it up and slice at the vampires stomach, I get him. I stand up and spin my sword. I can't see the Vampires face just an outline. I slice at the vampire again but he's gone. Arms enclose from behind me. I try to wriggle from his grip. I bring up my elbow to his nose then his stomach. He falls back but re gains his balance. Suddenly he's disappeared. I walk down the ally way. My boots make a gentle clicking noise against the concrete. I swear underneath my breath. I go to turn but Area is flown out of my hand. I foot stomps on my stomach. I'm shoved to the wall. He takes Ares from the ground and walks towards me.Concluida

I hear the clanking of metal loud and rigid from behind me, I feel the wind rush past as I sprint, they are still chasing me. I'll be honest I don't know what to do, quite frankly it's hard to think straight right now. I feel my body shutting down as the adrenaline is losing its punch, I can't run any faster. I'm always running, they are always chasing me. I don't even know why they chase me, I don't know what I did and like them they won't say. Do they even know? Am I just unlucky? Someone they picked at random to be the new subject of there torture? I wont let it happen. That's why I'll stay free, never fully contained. I think about the one I love, Charlie. I don't know where he is, I don't even know if he is safe. "Hey! Weapon down sarge, we don't want to kill her!" A guard's shout smacks me out of my train of thought. By this point I've gained some distance due to them having heavy armour. This stops me in my tracks though, I hear the guards slow down too. I stop, I realise, they want me alive. They aren't going to kill me, they don't want me dead. I have a gun, if I just point it at myself what are they going to do? I turn around and I look at all of the guards who have stopped in their tracks heaving in confusion. It's silent, even the wind is merely a whisper, all that can be heard is the panting of everyone on scene. They want me alive, they want me alive. I turn around, towards my chasers. I notice the guards straighten as I do so, instinctively I hold my gun to my neck, one bullet left, not enough for all of them but enough to kill me. They don't want me dead. I look to see all of them freeze in shock before one of the guards takes a step forward. I can't see their face, I can't see anyone's face but I feel like I need to know who this is. Before I can react they raise their gun and shoot. Pain explodes in my leg and I fall, all that running, for nothing. All I see now is black, I can't hear everything but I still feel conscious.

I walked into the kitchen and the window was open "strange" I said out loud then from behind me some one strong grabbed me and put his hand over my mouth. I let out a muffled cry and elbowed him in the groin and sprinted to my room. I shoved the objects on my floor to the side and hide under my bed. I started to breath heavily, I pulled my hair out of my face and started to cry quietly under my bed "I'm gonna die" I whispered to myself, then I get a call from my friend Cher "why know?" I say. I picked up the call. "hey" she shouts down the phone "shhh be quiet look, someone tried to grab me in the kitchen" "is this one of your jokes then this is not funny" "no I'm being serious. Oh god I can hear them" "what" "three men one woman, I think. Look call the police" "you" "I can't. Oh my god there near my room" "Yvonne don't panicked-" I felt someone touch my ankles then I screamed out loud so hopefully someone could hear me. They pulled me out from under the bed my attackers had black masks on over their face. One was tall and beefy, one was tall and slim, one had long broad shoulders and the other one was muscular and tall. The beefy one raised his hand and slapped me across the face. I felt the hot shearing pain spread across my face and on my red cheek, I let a tear escape then my vision started to go blurry when they put a cloth across my mouth then darkness.Concluida
