Aspen Moore is an ordinary girl with extraordinary dreams. Having grown up around horses, Aspen developed a strong love and connection with horses along with an extreme skill for working with them. It is these skills that earn her acceptance into the prestigious Auderdale Preparatory Academy. At Auderdale, Aspen rides in the Equestrian Olympic Preparation Program where she is matched with a difficult, high-strung horse named Striker. As Aspen struggles to make it through her first year of high school with the highest level academic course work and an equally difficult riding program on a seemingly untrained horse, will she crack under the pressure or will she successfully make the flying change that will set her future?

Regina Rowanson has trained in the equestrian art of show jumping since before she could walk. She and her horse, Sonic Seventeen, have competed in some of the country's biggest events. As one of the top juniors in the US, there's a meager few competitions she hasn't won. But all of that will change. Stone Creek Academy, a brand new private school designed specifically for the world's best junior riders, has just opened its gates to its first students ever. Word is that it will be the toughest school in the nation. The stakes will be higher than any rider has faced, inside the ring and out. And Regina has been invited to attend. All is seemingly well until a dangerous prank goes horribly wrong. Faced with decisions that will affect the rest of her life, Regina's equestrian career may be over. On top of that, the Academy is threatening to give her spot to another rider. Can Regina find the heart to ride again and claim her place at Stone Creek? Or will this end her riding career?
