"Jealousy and greed were a twin-headed snake that had not even shown her face, and yet Sherlock could already feel her coiling around his throat and flexing her fangs oh so dangerously close to his jugular. She was a looming phantom; a sickening nectar that always managed to find its way into his veins; a vision of what the future held." Sherlock Holmes can only be described as a deluge of curiosities, despite being a man of his work (and only his work). Intrigued, Julia Ruth Fuller writes to him as often as possible from her drab home in Glasgow, living with her parents as a recently unemployed waitress, trying to make end's-meet. Upon hearing that her aunt, Martha Hudson, is sudden ill, she manages to scrounge up enough money and finds herself flying to London to be at her side. Before she knows it, Julia has to make sacrifices and face her fears, all in order to bring a stop to London's black market organ trade.Complete
The Marquess of Winchester
Amelia's been on the streets since she can remember. She was abandoned by her mother on the doorstep of an orphanage run by nuns and was later thrown out of there too due to her unruly and 'unladylike' behaviour. She's been surviving on the streets for many years, stealing for food, rummaging in bins for clothes, scraps of metal or wood, which she uses as makeshift appliances, decorations and weapons. She's had a tough life, but it's made her into the strong, independent and fiery woman she is today. Ezra Beaumont, marquess of Winchester and future Duke, although thanks to his arrogance and narcissistic tendencies, he was sent to work down in the village with the local breadmaker in an attempt to humble him and make him a better person and better ruler by his parents the current Duke and Duchess of Winchester. Amelia's been trying to find her mother for as long as she can remember but all she has is a name. What neither Amelia nor Ezra knew, was that that name would connect them in a way neither would've ever imagined. She finds someone so broken under that cold exterior that she can't help but want to help him. They get thrown into a world of witches, wizards and magic and evil. They set off on a journey to become some of the most powerful witch and wizard to ever live, in order to defeat a great evil. Along the way, they recruit five other individuals each experienced in a different area of magic. Who will love and who will hate? Who will even live to tell the tale? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is my first draft, I've edited it along the way but the more I revisit and edit the better it wil get.
