Emily had the perfect life and the perfect husband, until tragedy struck. Her husband was taken from her suddenly. For a month Emily is stricken with grief, causing her to shut herself away from the world. One night their family dog takes off into the woods, leading her back to the garden she had worked on for years with her husband. For years they tried to get the rose bushes to bloom, but failed. The garden grew wild but remained there waiting for her return.
To her surprise, she finds the bushes in full bloom. The bigger surprise comes when she finds her husband there waiting for her. Like magic, her garden becomes her paradise, where she returns every night to dance with her husband.
This is a short story that I hope to turn into a full length novel. This paranormal romance is meant to touch your heart and show you that even in death the ones we love never leave us. They remain in our hearts where we carry them with us everywhere we go.
