Raoul Demartelle is the unlucky winner of a facial deformation made by his house set on fire. This was the result of Raoul's stalker after a gripping fit of anger at him rejecting her.
Half his face is covered by a mask and the other half's handsomeness is overshadowed by the anger in his tattered heart.

Belle La Roux is the youngest of three. Her life is filled with the pages of books and all she wants is an adventure where she can leave the small town, situated in France, she lives in and be able to escape. Her father is a well known scientist in the small town they live in and when he goes on a trip to speak at a function, Belle's whole life changes.

Coming back Mr. La Roux's car breaks down and he's caught knocking on the door of a beast of a man.

What will happen when Belle decides to find her father after he's been lost for several days?
