I've always known I was different. I didn't like talking to other people like everyone else did. Being around other people made me nervous. That's probably why I only had one best friend, Carter. He's the only person who doesn't make me nervous or scared. I've honestly tried to make friends before but I just get so nervous and awkward that they don't want to talk to me but I have a few. But not Carter. He always was patient with me, he never pushed me to do anything I didn't want to, and he always made me feel safe. Maybe that's why I fell in love with him. My name is Eric Holder and I'm in love with my best friend, Carter Pierce.
