Kagome, Ellie, Sesshomaru won the victory of the battle of the Shikon No Tama. There were losses of friends and allies, but they avenged their deaths to victory. Kagome, Ellie, and Sesshomaru were summoned by Midoriko in their dream-scape to tell them that they never really belonged in that world. They always have been belonged in Middle-Earth. They are the Moon Elves. Midoriko told them that it was time for them to go home but also said that they have another journey, similar to their previous journey. Ellie adopted Shippo as her son by blood bonding making him half-kitsune and half-moon elf. While Sesshomaru adopted Rin as his daughter making her full moon elf. And Kagome adopted Shiori, the bat demon, as her daughter making her 1/3 bat demon and almost full moon elf. What does Sauron want with the twins, Ellie and Kagome? How will Sesshomaru, Ellie, and Kagome take when they found out that their parents and people died from the orcs attack from Sauron.

The two girls were extremely close and traveled around so Reiki could help mortals find happiness and true love even during the feuding times. While she was gone, Naraku arrived planning to kill both girls but due to Reiki's dormant demonic powers and Naraku's recent awakening with his demonic powers, he could not fight off Reiki, and so he sealed her away. Upon returning, Chiyo learns what happened to her best friend and spends the next 50 years making herself stronger all while disguised as a man to make travel easier. Inuyasha is awakened and she searches all over the place for Inuyasha. After teaming up with Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Shippo, Chiyo leads the group to the demon slaying village where she once trained. They find the villagers slain before meeting Sango, who wished to kill Inuyasha who she believed killed her village. After seeing the truth, the group continues their journey to find Naraku and Chiyo crosses paths with the long foreseen true love that Reiki predicted that she'd meet one day, southern wolf demon tribe leader, Koga.
