Kailangan bang ipanganak ka sa isang maharlikang pamilya para ka maging isang hari? Hindi na kailangan, kapag ang Diyos ang nagtakda! Noong unang panahon, may isang batang pastol na nagngangalang David ang pinili ng Diyos upang maging hari ng bansang Israel. Nais patunayan ng Diyos na pinili Niya ang tamang tao sa posisyong ito. Bago maging hari si David, ay humarap siya sa napakaraming pagsubok at mga kapana-panabik na pakikipagsapalaran. 

Nang panahong ito, nagkaroon ang Israel ng masuwaying hari na ang pangalan ay Saul. Nagtagumpay sa maraming labanan si Saul, ngunit huminto siya sa pakikinig sa sinasabi ng Diyos. Isang araw, tinalo ng kanyang hukbo ang matatapang na kaaway, ang mga Amalekitang uhaw sa dugo. Sa halip na lipulin ang lahat ng tao at mga hayop tulad ng iniutos ng Diyos, itinabi ni Saul ang maiinam na mga baka at tupa para sa kanyang sarili.  

"Huwag ninyong patayin ang hari ng Amalekita," paguutos ni Saul sa kanyang mga sundalo. "Gawin natin siyang bihag."All Rights Reserved
