You were there when Wall Maria fell, you were trapped under rubble and of course  no one stopped to help a homeless runt while in the midst of running for their lives.  When you struggle out your last chance at a home is debris and ruin. You get ready to give up and submit to death... 
until a Black haired soldier fights to free you from  a titans jaws. The soldier gets you to safety, and you realize; he was the one person, in your life to fight for you, protect you, and you never even thanked him. You idiot. 
If you want a sassy love hate relationship  with  Captain Levi, you've come to the right place. You have nothing better to do, with your town a desolate  waste land now, so you will work your way up the military  ranks to formally thank the man who saved your life, and end up hating his guts along the way.
