Cheating Fate

Safu was born into a body that was weak and shackled to the earth. Day by day, she watched her organs fail, one at a time as her fingers lost their will to move. She watched her parent's eyes grow dimmer and dimmer until her own sight grew dim as well until all she saw was the black nothing that doomed to entrap her forever. She barely remembered what it felt like to walk or run and she could never imagine what it would be like to fly. Upon her last moments, she made a wish upon a star.

So when she was reborn as the lively and rambunctious Shion, she immersed herself in the warm sunlight glow and blanketed herself in the grass. Her wish came true and she was once more able to run and laugh and play, but all wishes come with a couple consequences. Shion is an orphan with a curse, doomed with bad luck. How long can she last in a world where bad luck could mean certain death?
