Emily Hasten has a glittering career as a journalist. Being hailed as hardworking, honest and disciplined, nobody except people close to her can see the underlying crippling perfectionism she can't quite let go of. Still, nobody sees the extent her perfectionism has damaged Emily. Having attempted suicide twice, Emily might not be able to survive the third attempt.

But when her close friend Charlotte killed herself and sent Emily her incomplete story "The Ending of Vena" as well as her diary entries, Emily is forced to face the reality of what it means for somebody to kill themselves. From there, she might end up questioning something that she has always been afraid to question.

What is the meaning of life?

A story about regrets, about intimacy but also about what it means to live, even if you don't want to anymore.

WARNING: shitty draft ever! I'm just writing out of my mind at this point, so you probably don't want to read this first. (If I have it edited, I'll say it!)

It's winging period of time! 🤣
