AU where Armin is an absolute genius. His knowledge of the world is unrivaled with any other. The problem is...
He was born without the ability to speak.
Because of this, everyone thinks he has nothing to say. On the contrary, Armin has so many things he'd like to tell the world. But no one will listen, partly because they can't, partly because they don't want to. In time, he learns to accept this, and keeps to himself.
In comes Eren. On the surface, he appears to be a very normal teenager. Angsty, full of life, and very stubborn. Eren is no ordinary boy, however. He has a special ability, one that has given him nothing but trouble.
He can read minds.
Due to a horrific history with it, and one he'd like to stay buried, he's sworn to never again use this power. That is, until he meets a certain mute boy.
