Embers

Seraphine.
I fought hard to escape the past . To make sure it never caught up with me. There are precautions I have to take. Constantly moving around and never making ties with anyone. It's a lonely life I'll admit but it's safe. I've finally found a place where I want to stay and create my new life.

Wakepine. Such an odd name for a city, but I like it enough. It's snows in the winter and it's warm during spring and summer. Perfect balance of the seasons just like I've always wanted. Ive been set up in a new watch district and that's where I meet him.

Raiden. An infuriating man with too many questions and eyes that scorch my soul. He's enough to make me forget about my dreams of a normal life and pack my bags, turn tail and run.

Can I keep him from discovering my past while trying to create my new future? Will I be able to keep my walls up against the people fighting to tear them down? Will he find me?

One things for sure . I'm not going down without a fight.
