The world has a Rewind button on it. Most don't know it exists. They don't remember the Rewind button. But the Reset button is forwarded everywhere. The world Resets every month on the 13th at 12:00pm EXACTLY. No exceptions. Everyone knows it exists but they never remember the Reset. But theres a species called Pause, humans with minds hardwired to remember. Minds hardwired to the Reset. They can tell who's chosen to chose Reset their life. Whose chosen to keep it. What life has been deleted. What life has been taken over by an amnesiac, just like the one that reset only they got a life that existed. Maybe they switched lives. Pauses would know. And they know who's like them. Stuck in time. Paused.
