La carta personal de Víctor a Yerma como muestra de un amor platónico es una suposición sobre la micro historia de este romance prohibido que forma parte del texto y dependiendo del criterio del lector, está implícita pero le da sentido y valor a la situación principal de la historia.

La carta es un tipo de texto que oscila entre la formalidad y lo coloquial puesto a que aunque es íntima en su totalidad, posee cierta rectitud que le da un ímpetu más consecuente. A medida que el escrito avanza, se lo puede considerar más emotivo y personal. Los lectores están en la capacidad de ponerse en el lugar de Víctor y Yerma y sentir esa imposibilidad de amar como es debido.
