The sheer size of the craft threw the squad into sorrow. The few defenses set up around Mars couldn't possibly take it out. No one signed up for it. They wanted to fight an empire, the same empire they had allied to fight the Creature. "We can't possibly destroy that!" a marine yelled, falling on his knees in disbelief. She took up her rifle, and called up the scattered, hopeless Team Spirit. With all the anger from her deceased friends and family, Melissa channeled all her rage through the microphone. "Let's go to war!"

Yes, yes it is, but it's surprisingly fun and effective. :) We pretty much live for the Inevitable Ascension series and did just about everything ourselves-the writing, the editing, the publishing, the art (well, Andrew did the art, but Sasha provided invaluable consulting when it came to eyebrows), the audio book, the trailer-everything.
