I'm Mia Logan and this is the story of how one conversation will change my life forever, for better or worst. When I wake up to hear my Mum arguing with a stranger outside my bedroom door on the morning of my sixteenth birthday, it will lead to a whole string of events that will end in the final showdown. Me or him, the prophecy says that only one will walk away. But who knows maybe the prophecy is wrong. All I do know is, no one saw this coming.

Utopia

Sometimes things don't come in big bangs and loud bursts. Sometimes things tiptoe by and you don't know they're happening until they've happened. She's started this story a hundred times in a hundred ways--it never seemed right. The truth is this: a woman, a girl, went to sleep and woke up somewhere else. And it broke her. Before, she was eighteen, she would not finish high school, and she had never been in love. After, she would be eighteen and a hundred years older, she still would not finish high school, and she would never not be in love again.
