Mia stared up at Derek in confusion. "What are you thanking me for?"

"For giving me a family and making me the happiest man alive." He said. "I didn't think that I'd ever get to be happy after losing you and then losing my family. I hated the world for taking away the people I cared for the most. But, then you came back and it felt like maybe I could be happy again. Its why I'm grateful to have you back in life.
